Nechoma Gajer
Ms. Nechoma Gajer joined our team as Tamim Academy’s Behavioral Interventionist. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Colchester, Vermont in August 2024. She has been working in the building since then and officially stepped into the Behavioral Interventionist role in September 2025.
Before coming to Tamim, Nechoma spent five years working in a wide range of behavioral and developmental therapy settings. She also has experience working in families in crisis, working with infants, and assisting across several other areas of education. These experiences have shaped Nechoma’s belief that every child can build the skills they need to be successful not only in school but in every area of their life. Creating a safe, consistent, and supportive environment is something Nechoma values deeply, and she is grateful to be part of a school that shares that vision.
Nechoma comes from a religious Jewish family and feels a strong connection to the community. She is involved in various roles with Chabad of Vermont and loves bringing elements of Jewish warmth, values, and experience into her work with children each day.
Outside of school, Nechoma is a proud “crazy cat lady” and is often found talking about her cats, brightening up a room with a smile, a cup of tea, and good lipstick. She is thrilled to be part of Tamim Academy and looks forward every day to supporting our students as they grow, learn, and discover their strengths.
