Meaghin Kennedy brings a rich background in education, community-building, and food equity to her role as School Counselor at Tamim. She holds a Master’s in Education from George Washington University and began her career as an elementary school counselor in Fairfax County Public Schools. She later pivoted into food access and equity work — contributing to farm-to-school programming in Washington, DC, working in food nonprofits and photojournalism in New York City, and starting a Community Supported Bakery in Portland, OR, before founding her own farm in Charlotte, VT, growing food for local food banks and her community.

Meaghin is excited to return to school counseling. She looks forward to working with this incredible community to build a cohesive standard of emotional awareness and problem-solving, and to fostering a school environment where every student feels heard, seen, and taken care of.

When not at school, Meaghin loves walking, running, strength training (CrossFit might be in her future!), and being outside in all weather. She lives in the Hill Section of Burlington with her husband Justin and their two boys, Hugh and Abe.
