Sharon began playing piano at age five. At eleven, she added viola lessons and after six months of study, was accepted in the South Jersey Regional Orchestra. At thirteen, Sharon joined the Interlochen Arts Festival in Michigan, and later that same year, earned a place in the Juilliard School’s Pre-College program. Sharon studied music at Louisiana State University and then played in The Orchestra of St. Peter By the Sea and The Garden State Philharmonic.
Since moving to Vermont, Sharon maintains a large teaching studio for violin and viola and occasional group classes to kids and adults. She is also the Musical Director for the Williston Kids Community Orchestra, opening in the 2020-2021 school year, that introduces 3rd and 4th grade students to violin, viola, cello, and ensemble performance.
